I've sat on the other side of the table.
I've spent 15 years in commercial construction on the general contractor side, the last 7 here in Michigan. I've built in two countries, and today I run my own GC, Bercini Construction, in Grand Rapids.
From the GC side, I've watched great subcontractors lose work they deserved. Not because of the quality of their work, but because the proposal came in late, the change order was never written down, or the pay app didn't match the contract.

The name
Why we're called Firme.
In the neighborhoods many of us grew up in, firme means solid, legit, the real deal. In English, a firm is a company. We think the best trade companies are both: solid work and a solid business.
The logo is four tiles meeting, inspired by the Talavera tile of Mexico, with a spark where they join. Every job is pieces coming together: the estimate, the crew, the GC, the billing. Firme is the spark that gets them working as one.

Do I need to be good with computers?
No. If you can send a text and open a PDF, you can use Firme. We set it up with you and train your team.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Crew leaders use it on their phones on the jobsite, and you can price and send a proposal from your phone too.
Can my crew see my prices?
No. Crew leaders see the schedule, daily reports and lessons. Prices, estimates, pay apps and invoices stay with the office.
What trades is it for?
Firme starts with ready-made price books for insulation, drywall and painting. For other trades, we build your price book during onboarding.
Is my data private?
Yes. Every company has its own separate Firme, with its own data. No other company can see your jobs, prices or customers.
Is the app in Spanish?
Yes. Switch the whole app between English and Spanish anytime, and get support in both.
Does it connect to QuickBooks?
A direct connection to QuickBooks Online is on the way, so your customers, invoices and payments stay in sync. Founding members help us shape it.
What does onboarding include?
We load your price book and past jobs, set up your proposal with your logo, and train your office and crew leaders.
What if I want to leave?
